EDIT: I wasn’t planning to rate my actual experience with the Houdini Estate until I realized they had somehow gotten me to write one months before my wedding date? A few days before my wedding, Houdini informed me, my planner, and my rentals manager for the first time that a huge % of the reception area would be closed. Day of we learned the view of the gazebo was blocked and I was ultimately married in front of a fluorescent green fake plant wall instead of the stunning image I had been repeatedly shown. They did not in any way modify our contract, had us play the same amount, and we had to pay extra for the hours our rentals team had to spend re-planning the entire layout. Photos were ruined, as was any chance of my ever recommending this place. I know it was upper management and not the coordinators, who clearly felt bad (ya know, like humans), so I’m also furious the greedy ownership left this to their ground level staff to handle. Hope my father-in-law is out of the months-long negotiation to try and get money back (last I checked he hadn’t) when I hit send on this.

If you're planning a wedding, I can't imagine a better customer experience than the Houdini Estate. Other venues have been incredibly dodgy about pricing, with mysterious up-charges on just about everything. Houdini has their pricing on the website, and what you see is what you get. Plus, it's the prettiest one. The least stressful decision I've made about the big day. Plus, our sales rep, Adriana, is so pleasant and easy to communicate with!

Working with the Houdini Estate has always been a fantastic time for my company, Dylan Galvin Entertainment. It's an honor and a pleasure to perform weddings at such a quirky, magical place.
This place feels very much like a spot hidden in a storybook. You will understand why Houdini once lived there once you walk around for a little. The coy pond, the lights, the winding stairways all lend to the character of this place.
The staff is welcoming, efficient and kind and very professional.
A wedding or party at this place will be one you'll remember for a long time. If you're looking for something different than your standard wedding venue, this is your place. Dylan Galvin Entertainment wholeheartedly recommends this venue.

Nice estate but not a great venue. Parking and access (road outside is a racetrack basically). The grounds have a lot of stairs so you are constantly having to navigate that. The current grounds people seem to have cluttered the area with a lot of items that don't seem to work together. Less is more in case like this where the space is tight. On the plus side there are a lot of hidden gems and would be great for small parties but not big ones
