At The White Dress by the shore, we offer a stunning collection of classic wedding dresses with a modern, high-fashion twist. Our team has hand-selected luxury gowns from top bridal designers, many of which are exclusive to our Connecticut boutique. Featuring luxurious laces, feminine silhouettes, and timeless styles, our curated collection allows each bride to craft a truly one-of-a-kind look. Our boutique operates by appointment only, ensuring a personalized, intimate, and unforgettable bridal shopping experience.
Faq’s
Do I need an appointment to shop in your boutique?
Yes. We are by appointment so that we can provide each of our clients with our undivided attention. The majority of what we sell is special order, and many items can be customized. Working with a dedicated stylist allows you to be educated on all of your options, as well as all of the unique services that the boutique has to offer.
How long will my appointment be?
Our bridal appointments are 1.5 hours in length, with the exception of our White Carpet Experience, which is a private shopping experience and is 3 hours.
Can I schedule bridal and bridesmaid appointments back to back?
We strongly recommend that you make separate appointments. Bridal appointments can be emotional and require making quite a few decisions. If your schedule allows, we recommend that you try to schedule separate appointments so that you can get the most out of each appointment. We do offer Bridesmaid Soiree appointments where you and your bridal party can have 2 hours of exclusive access to chic by the shore, our bridesmaid atelier. You and your bridesmaids will enjoy cupcakes and mimosas while experiencing a private shopping appointment. For further details, check out the Bridesmaid Soiree page on our website.

I heard about TWD from a co-worker of mine and decided to make an appointment. I will be honest and say I drove pretty far from New Haven to Clinton haha. Overall, I had such an amazing experience at TWD. I already knew what dress I pretty much wanted walking in, but Olivia made the experience so amazing. Everyone at TWD was so kind, especially Beth who went above and beyond for me. I feel so beautiful in my dress and cannot thank TWD enough. I’ve already recommended them to a few more friends here in Connecticut.

I came to The White Dress by the Shore after having an uninspiring time trying on dresses at the BHLDN Anthropologie in Westport, CT. My time with Erin was an absolute dream! She was genuine, attentive, and made me feel comfortable and special the entire time. I came in having given minimal thought to the type of dress that I wanted, but after choosing some initial dresses, Erin deftly helped me narrow down what I liked and didn’t like without making me feel pressured to buy anything or rushed to make a purchase. I ended up getting a dress by Jenny Yoo that was even slightly under my budget. Ultimately, my mom and I had a wonderful experience and would 1000% recommend to any bride-to-be! Bonus points because I had initially decided to purchase my dress with a bow (seen in the photo), but changed my mind and wanted to get it without the bow instead. Erin was able to quickly adjust our order seamlessly.
